"Very nice.  Would reduce our regulatory workload if projects built on this template were more common.  It would be easy to develop a corresponding regulatory checklist."

StaccatoTM is an open source Software Design Method and Architecture for Embedded Systems.

Staccatotm is a new approach in designing very reliable and low maintenance embedded system software. Based on the concept of a 'system of finite state machines', the StaccatoTM Design Method and Architecture is an alternative to using an RTOS. Staccatotm provides excellent real-time performance, even at low processor clock speeds, thereby reducing the power consumed by your embedded system.

StaccatoTM is versatile, easy to learn and use, and can be deployed on any platform.

The StaccatoTM Crossroads SDK and Certified Training Program offered for sale here will show engineers how to partition a software system into tasks, and how to encode each task as a finite state machine (FSM). The StaccatoTM System Core includes an elegant 'executive', inter-task communication capabilities, a system timer, and very helpful system calls. You will also learn how to properly document your embedded software system design to meet the strictest of currently recommended guidelines for validation and verification.

Using the StaccatoTM Software Design Method and Architecture in your embedded product development will lower risks and costs.

Staccatotm provides a consistent set of skills across your development team. Reduce your risks and schedules (and headaches) and increase your productivity (and confidence) by purchasing the StaccatoTM Crossroads SDK and Certified Training Program, and learning the StaccatoTM Design Method NOW!!.
